The Challenge

NotMeCA’s mission—to help women move from fear to freedom—was already resonating statewide. But their online presence didn’t fully capture the heart or scale of that mission. The website’s simple design and limited messaging made it difficult to showcase success stories, promote events, or invite deeper participation from supporters and volunteers.

The Solution

1791 Group partnered with NotMeCA to translate their mission into a clear, compelling digital experience. Using the StoryBrand framework, we focused on connection, clarity, and action.

 We:

  • Defined a core message: “By women, for women—empowering confidence and safety.”
  • Expanded content to feature training resources, success stories, and community events.
  • Added intuitive paths for Get Help, Volunteer, and Donate.
  • Delivered a clean, mobile-first design with a confident, uplifting tone that matches the organization’s purpose.

The Result

Launched in October 2025, the new NotMeCA.org now serves as a dynamic resource hub helping women across California take charge of their safety.

The redesign unites storytelling, usability, and mission—turning a strong grassroots program into a scalable digital movement.

As Program Director Desiree Bergman put it:

“This new website is more than a facelift—it’s a hub of resources that connects women with the knowledge and support they need to take action.”
